We have found that Google maps as well as all GPS maps seem to be very accurate for this location. You will be on a private gated road for the last one mile of your drive. On the day of the party the gate at this end of the community will be open for you. Be sure that you approach via the road The Strand.

Parking is available on Coldwater Road on the West side of
the road all the way up to the gate of our property as well as the North side
of Foxboro Drive. Please only park
on one side of the road and leave sufficient room for other cars, guests and
other residents, to drive in and out of the community.
Driving Directions:
From the Bay Area and Sacramento:
Take highway I-80 East to exit 186 toward Central Truckee
Turn right on Donner Pass Rd
At the traffic circle, continue straight to stay on Donner
Pass Rd for approx 1 mile (you will drive through historic Truckee).
Then turn right onto Glenshire Drive
Follow Glenshire Drive for 5 miles
Turn right onto The Strand
At the end of the public road (approximately 1 mile after
you turn onto The Strand), head through the gate into the Juniper Hills
community.
Take the first right, Coldwater Road and follow to the end,
approximately half a mile.
From the Reno airport:
Follow signs to highway I-80 West
Go West on I-80 – leave Nevada, enter California
Take exit 194 for Hirschdale Road
Take a right onto Hirschdale Road, crossing underneath I-80.
Follow the road to the right up the hill, now named
Glenshire Drive.
After approx 3 miles, turn left onto The Strand
At the end of the public road (approximately 1 mile after
you turn onto The Strand), head through the gate into the Juniper Hills
community.
Take the first right, Coldwater Road and follow to the end,
approximately half a mile.
From the North Shore of Lake Tahoe (Kings Beach, Incline
Village etc) as well as Northstar:
Head West on CA-267 (the literal direction is North West)
Pass underneath highway I-80. The road you are on will now be called CA-89 North.
At the traffic circle, take the 3rd exit onto
Donner Pass.
After half a mile, turn left onto Glenshire Drive.
Follow Glenshire Drive for 5 miles
Turn right onto The Strand
At the end of the public road (approximately 1 mile after
you turn onto The Strand), head through the gate into the Juniper Hills
community.
Take the first right, Coldwater Road and follow to the end,
approximately half a mile.
From the West Shore of Lake Tahoe (Tahoe City, Sunnyside
etc) and Squaw Valley USA:
Head North on CA-89
As you reach the outskirts of Truckee, turn right onto West
River Street.
Continue 1.5 miles on West River Street, then make a left onto
Brockway Road and cross the railroad tracks.
Immediately turn right after the railroad tracks onto Donner
Pass Rd.
After half a mile, turn right onto Glenshire Drive.
Follow Glenshire Drive for 5 miles
Turn right onto The Strand
At the end of the public road (approximately 1 mile after
you turn onto The Strand), head through the gate into the Juniper Hills
community.
Take the first right,
Coldwater Road and follow to the end, approximately half a mile.
Airports:
The closest airport is Reno Tahoe (abbreviation RNO),
serviced by all major US commercial airlines with multiple flights to the major
hubs daily. Truckee is a 45 min
drive West of RNO.
Sacramento International Airport (SMF) is another option,
also serviced by all major US commercial airlines with multiple flights to the
major hubs daily. It’s a two-hour
drive to Truckee.
The Bay Area is a 3 – 4 hour car ride away from Truckee,
depending on the exact location that you are leaving from. San Francisco International (SFO)
connects you to major international cities while San Jose (SJC) and Oakland
(OAK) offer many direct flights to destinations all over the US.
